Back Been awhile since i've been on here
Hey everyone it's been awhile since i've been on here. since i've regretably sold my 126, because i got my license in Dec. and needed money for a car. well i've got me a car and got a job so i'm starting my tractor collection again. so far no cubs but i've bought an old 1966 wheelhorse 856. the main reason for buying was the price...too good to pass up(200 bucks). it came with a mower deck, snowblade(original) and a dump cart. it needed valves reseated and runs perfect. the paint is original and darn good for 44yrs old. i'll post some pics later. but here pretty soon i'm getting another cub! i'm wanting a CC100. haha but i thought i'd touch base with everything and see how you guys were doing.

Welcome back! Nice 856...I have an 856 as well...Its a nice machine, the little 32" deck cuts pretty nice, and she has moved a lot of snow over the years.
A 100 would defintely look nice parked next to it! Jeff (teet)

Make sure you keep those bevel gears in that deck greased up...I had one with bad bevel gears and could not find new ones anywhere...
I'm sure you will find a Cub cadet soon......they always seem to reproduce themselves.. and then the WH will be a minority tractor. :biggrin2.gif:

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
