Default WG600 carb

After putting a new distributor in my issue with the engine cutting out after getting hot has been cured. I'm still dealing with the surging issue. Sam Mac had a post about the governor spring going into a harmonic vibration, I cured this issue by sliding a short length of weed eater fuel tubing over each end, it is just enough to cure the vibration. Now I only have an issue when trying to maintain a smooth idle. If I pull out the choke about a quarter to half inch, it runs and holds idle just fine. I've tried tuning the needle valve but just can't seem to get it to run smooth that way. I have cleaned the carb 3 times. There is no issue with the fuel system otherwise as the fuel tank grommets are new, the shut offs cleaned, all new fuel line, new fuel filter, and new pump.

As far as I know there is no carb kit for that carb. I gave up and just bought a new one. They are not that bad. 150$ I think from the kubota dealer.
This is after I went thru the rest of the things that could cause problems.

I would go ahead and replace the governor spring as well. My 2182 ran alot smoother and idled better after replacing the spring. These springs get worn out over time and it is not always visible when looking at the spring.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
