Well the carb from the pressure washer didn't fit, and the original carb still won't work even after cleaning. I guess it's a new carb altogether then, and this time the correct one lol

Ok I took the old carb apart and clean the sh!t outta it. Every tube/jet is clear, took the float and needle from the other carb (the one with the choke) and put it in there.
This thing should work, but it's not priming no matter how many presses of the bulb. I suspect there is an issue with the air cleaner backplate/gasket, as I feel no air coming out of the air channel when I press the bulb. I saw the video Cannon51 posted and the guy mentions doubling up on the gaskets to make the air channel seal better, I will see if I can find another gasket that fits...

I had to clean a carb that used the primer bulb over the weekend, the gasket stayed on the carb when I took it apart. if the gasket stays on the carb I always remove it and put a new gasket on the filter housing. Because of the way the gasket goes on some tits and in a grove on the housing I have never had any luck getting them to work if I put it together with the gasket on the carb. Since the primary seal to get the choke to work is between the gasket and the housing I usually put a VERY THIN coat of Permatex 2 on half of the gasket where my finger is. Don't get it in the little hole. Be sure the gasket is on the tits and down in the grove. When you put the housing on don't crank it down to hard, I use a socket and screwdriver handle. I'm not a very mechanic so take this advise for what it's worth.

Yeah mine has that same air channel from the primer bulb to the hole on the carb. But it's not sealing since the primer is not working. I'm gonna try doubling up the gasket to see if seals enough to create the vacuum needed for priming, just gotta find some of those gaskets

Check your primer bulb for cracks and you might try replacing the rubber fitting on the primer bulb. It may not be creating a proper suction to pull fuel in. You can also try, "Mechanic In A Bottle". I'm not 100% sold on it, but I did purchase a Cub Cadet 268 snow blower from a guy who used it and it starts on the first pull every time.

Update: doubling up the gaskets didn't help. I ended up getting another new carb (the correct one this time) and now it primes and fires up in 1-2 pulls every time. I guess the old carb still had something gummed up even though I cleaned every tube and jet I could find. Now if I can just find some new 16" wheels for this thing that aren't $40/wheel, it'll be good as new!
