the lower grill support the part that bolts to the frame went from cast iron to aluminum and the axle tubes went to aluminum as well , I had a few 82 CCC cubs that were all aluminum rears so they did get slightly lighter , my dad has a late 77 1000 with aluminum lower grill where all my other quietlines were 76 and 74 had cast iron ones

Checkout the pricing on the Supers back in 94 and 95, and this is just for the tractor.

I'll see if I can get jimbob200521 to convert it to a URL and re-post it. It got down sized when I downloaded it to OCC.

Just found this thread

I got Sam's pic and uploaded/resized it to make it readable here, I'm sure he'll come along and post it when he gets a chance.

Lew,

If you can email me the full size of the pic you posted, I can upload/resize it for you as well to make it readable

No problem-o

BTW, if you put that link in brackets like this

it'll embed it into your post so it's not a link, it's an image

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
