Default Cyclops Handles

Set of aluminum prototype handles for the Cub Cadet Cyclops Garden Tractor. I made these when I worked at Cub Cadet in Brownsville TN for the prototype tractor build and when production started and it was torn down, they were given back to me. Hand machined on a Bridgeport mill, no CNC at that time.

Looks like?
hydro control
Tilt steering
Lift lever
Not sure what the 4th one is, looks like it has an open padlock on one end.
Would be cool if they were aluminum instead of plastic.

The one on the right would be for the throttle. I've seen some with that style but mine looks like a paddle.

Very cool though Merdock, I'm a CNC programmer/machinist so I can appreciate the work these took on a manual machine.

These are amazing! To do that on a manual mill takes considerable skill.

Were they prototyping them before doing the molds for the plastic version?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
