High speed screw doesn't have a "stop". It will just unscrew from the carb body. What do you mean by "it's out to the stop"?

Ok, we need some clarification:
You state you installed a "rebuilt engine" What was done to it? New oversize pistons/rings? Crank turned undersize? Valves/seats done with 3 angle valve job or replaced and clearance adjusted as per service manual? You say you didn't touch anything about the governor. Then you say you adjusted it to specks in the book. There are 4 adjustments on the carb: Idle speed screw. Idle mixture jet. High speed mixture jet. Float setting. We need to know just what we are dealing with to diagnose the patient. We also do not know your abilities, so we can suggest repairs/adjustments within your capabilities. |

Thanks Guys
I think i got it. I reset the float level on the old Kohler carb, and adjusted the governor again seems to have fixed it. If i had to say, it was a mixture of fuel pump and float level was the problem...I also think as someone said that those Chinese carbs are set to high. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
