Default Pastor's 782

As I was driving to the church a few weekends ago on a Saturday I saw a very distinct grille sticking out of the shed behind the parsonage.; I knew it was a red -82 series. My pastor has no clue what is was but I told him if he ever needed any work done to let me know.

Got a call last weekend that it wouldn't start. Installed a new PTO switch this weekend and it should be good to go for another 30 years...

I'll be keeping an eye on this one if the trustees ever decide it's time for an upgrade.

Nice to see original machines still intact and working like a champ.

Hi 65 Pigeon, did you go to the drags last weekend? I'll bet you could hear them. I used to live 40 miles from you and did a lot of fishing in those reservoirs back in the 80's. Mike

Sad to say but I have lived here for 4 years and haven't made it to the event yet. Other vacation plans, work, or family stuff keeps my schedule too full over the summer.

the track is 8 miles from my house...love hearing those top fuel cars in the distance.

Went fishing at the reservoirs two weeks ago. It's a great spot to take the kids.

Oh you guys bring back teen age memories!!
I lived 9 miles from Detroit Dragway as a kid.
I vividly remember the nationals held there in '59.
Sadly today,
a warehouse sits on the site, and not even a sign attesting to the fact that some of the worlds fastest as well as the motor city big 3's best efforts, were raced and tested there.
Yes, many a Sunday and Saturday night my ears were blessed with beautiful motor music.
(and Art Arfons Green Monster jets)

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
