Are you in an area where you get several feet of snow at a time? That would have to be interesting...
We get quite a bit. Many times measured in feet. Once we get it, it tends to hang around. I screen shot our last 10 or so years averages.

Edit.. I see its hard to read.. Last year we got 55 inches between Dec and April

We had 90 inches one year. 1995-96

Depends who you ask what "a lot of snow is". Last year Erie, PA broke it's own record. 198.5" of snow during the season. I want to say we had over 60" of snow in two days (Christmas and the next day). I usually don't even start the tractor unless we have over 6" on the ground.

And yes, at the time I took this picture, I did not have weights and chains. LOL. This year the 1282 will stay in the garage and I have a diesel SGT to handle snow removal.

Yup.. I'm use to northern snow also. Grew up in northern CT. Its strange. Where I am in LI it's like we are in sort of a snow belt. East and west of the house gets less snow for some reason

I always sound like a broken record but I’ve never seen as much snow as what happens in Erie. I thought I was used to snow growing up at the bottom of the Catskills but Erie is ridiculous. Front end loaders already scooping it into dump trucks to be shipped out of the city in late NOVEMBER. They’re so used to it I even saw college kids at Edinboro U walking to class in a blizzard in shorts and a tee shirt.

Default Loaded 782

Today I loaded the rear of the 782 with 175# of weight to hold it down. With the snow thrower on the front, I'm ready for the white stuff.

I plowed with my 147 this morning. The snow was heavy and wet, but it did a pretty good job. We had 14" total, this was only about 5"

Before, during, and after:

I always like to see pictures of pushing snow! I wouldn't mind doing some of that myself, but the forecast doesn't look like I will get the chance for awhile.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
