Default Cub cadet 2172 repower question

Hey guys, I'm making some progress on the Kohler command 20 swap into my super 2072. I'm just wondering if someone could help me out on the wiring. I'm pretty good with wiring but I don't want to screw anything up on my donor motor. So what exactly does each wire do coming off the engine, it's a ch20s.
The plug off the engine goes... One white by itself. A red and purple together. A red and blue together, and a green by itself.. Also is there a certain key switch or relay I'll. Need? My 2072 never came with a motor and the wiring is a mess, so I just want to get some insight

The wiring is covered in the service manual. It is available on the Kohler Engine site.

I'm aware of that. Everything is on the internet. I'm looking for human insight . I. E. What does what, what needs power and when. Are certain relays needed for a swap. Is a specific key switch important Thanks though

Thank you, that's what I was looking for. My search on the forum isn't working, so I've been trying to use Google to do the search through the forum

If you were good at wiring like you say, then you don't need someone to tell you. A diagram from a book would be good enough. So.... what you really meant to say was your very good at hooking wires together, as long as someone tells you were to hook them up.

If the link Leadslingingdaddy posted doesn't answer your questions, then I'm not sure we can help you.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
