Default Hard to get motivated.

It's been crazy hot and humid here which has made it really hard to get motivated to work on anything outside, I need to build a ramp for my shed but after spending all day out in the heat all I want to do when I get home is relax in the a/c. I'm hoping some cooler weather or at least a breeze is on its way.

In my opinion, it's harder to be motivated, but not have the time. I need a ramp on my shed too.... but I have a mile long list of things like that that need done.... and never enough time to do it. Kids, garden, yard, work, wife..... they all take up most of my time. The yard has been hard to stay on top of this year alone due to all the rain. Lance reminded me the other day that there are only 4 months left in the year. Need to finish that snow blower I started on earlier this year. Going to need it before we know it!

I agree with all that was mentioned, now add in age, arthritis and a bad back. My easy chair is extremely hard to get out of without motivation!

I agree as well. There is a new line starting up at work for the new Altima and I just found out that I am getting moved. We start 12 hour days Tuesday. The yard work is behind, shop work is behind. I have worked the weekends since I got the 782DT from Doc. No time to play with it.

Motivation, procrastination--whats the difference? My biggest problem is too much to do and too little time to do it.

Ive got a few projects to get at too, I just finished rebuild on an echo cs500vl, another one being a snowthrower input shaft and pulley replacement. Set screw came loose and keyway is all ruined. Its mildly hot & humid here in western IA, but nothing unusual for early fall. I am just kickin back enjoying a three day weekend.

Working on an old Echo chainsaw is odd enough (Stihl out sold them 50-1 in saws here), it being in Iowa, well that just boggles the brain? Thought you fellows had to get a permit to cut down trees there--or is the corn that tall this year?

Well, the corn near my house is 10-14 feet tall this season.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
