What would they do if they saw that the hitch is a simple pin like a yard cart uses??

A "boat ball" kind of hitch is just too sophisticated,,,

Actually, I use a GT to move the trailer in and out of the shed,,,

I did add a safety chain for the first time this year,,,

Yes, that is a dump trailer, and a bungee cord keeps the trailer from tilting,,,

Your lucky that state trooper had other things to keep him busy.

I would bet there are at least a dozen tickets hauling that with that trailer both state and federal.

But I am guilty also of using my car hauling trailer several times a year with an expired plate for over 20 years.

I could easily find a dozen or more of these fuel trailers in a 10 mile radius of my home,
and, of the ones I have seen, by far, mine is in the best condition,,

It is a tool that a small farmer uses,,, often.

Well.. DOT would red ball it and force you to tow it for that alone. Not to mention all trailers in NY need plates, registration, NY state inspection, lights, and a ball or pintle type hitch. The tow bar and tongue has to be rated to support 10% of the gross weight trailer is registered for..

Ya got about 5 tickets there and a tow bill if used in NY LOL.. Other than that. I like it!

EDIT.. FOrgot to mention.. Your 10 gallons over the limit for transporting fuel and you have no fuel placards on your tanks! There's 2 more tickets!

The early morning weather on TV said Virginia may miss the entire main storm, but, we will now get rain when the storm loops back, on its way back to the ocean,,,

so, maybe no serious rain until early next week,,,

If this latest holds true, it is going to be UGLY.

This is the latest from NOAA/Hurricane Center:

Notice the time at landfall. The coast is going to see 39 to 73mph winds around 10am Thursday. Then hurricane force winds of 110mph or more starting around 8pm Thursday.
The really bad part is the stall and movement to the west/southwest along the coast for more than 24 hours before it heads inland.
All of the area to the north and east of the eye are going to get dumped on as the cane picks up ocean water and drops it as it passes overland. Hour after hour in virtually the same place.

Yeah this 45 deg turn in the projected path has SC scrambling now. Yesterday morning we were right in the middle of the storm track, now we are only on the edge. Good for us, bad for someone else. At the moment it's projected to hit SC and head towards Tn.

And with our luck it will come to Florida afterwards like the rest of them do. I don’t even acknowledge them anymore because of how many have hit us since around 2004 and just refer to them as “another stupid H”

Get everything inside that you can because it becomes a projectile if not. And don’t be afraid to tell your neighbors to do the same as their junk becomes your junk in a storm like this. I normally park my big vehicles sideways in front of the garage door and also put sandbags inside and out. Stay in a safe area of the house away from windows. Letting wind inside is what you need to avoid. Lots of tips but obviously common sense prevails. In case of power Loss and using a generator, If you’re going to backfeed your house with it, make sure to turn the main breaker off in your panel off. You don’t want to light up our power company people. It’s been done mistakenly and normally kills the generator because it can’t obviously handle the load but always better to be safe than sorry.

As always, Sometimes the weather guessers are wrong but sometimes they are right. Be safe friends.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
