Correct on one account, the decal. BUT, the color is.

So, looking in the operator's manual for the Quietlines linked on here, it seems like I need a set of 23x8.50-12 tires on my tractor for it to be accurate. The front tires are the stock size (4.80x4-8s), but the rears aren't. Interestingly, the manual doesn't even mention the 800. Strange. I'll have to look for the tire sizes for it. It says that 1000s had 6-12s stock, the 1200s, 1250s, and 1450s all had 23x8.50x12 tires, and the 1650s only had the 23x10.50-12s.

Also, another note, I noticed that in the original operator's manual, the footrests didn't have the little holes on them. I guess they made the manuals with the earliest of the originals.

The specifications listed in the Cub Cadet Brochure is the same for the 800 and the 1000 EXCEPT for the engine (8hp vs 10hp).

If you want 6-12 tires run 6-12 tires. They bolt on, track correctly, don't change the ratio..... it's fine. They are a bit shorter, so top speed will be slightly less, but that ads torque. There are guys who want 26X12-12's. Personally I think those tires are a waste, as they are much taller and increase speed, but decrease torque. There was a reason the SGT's that used them had a different ratio. 6-12's are fine. Run them if you want them.

I'll run the 6-12s in the summer for plowing and such, I might buy some 1" spacers to make the tractor a little wider. I'll try to find some actual IH wheel weights and maybe get some ags for the rims.
I'll find and run a set of 23x8.50-12 ags and chains during the winter and for some things during the summer. It'll wear the 6-12s and weights to shows.

You don't need wheel spacers.

I know, but I'm still debating whether to even just buy 1" or .5" spacers. If not, I'll just leave the width stock.

Both of my 1250s had 23 x 10.5-12 on them when I got them.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
