So after a quick read on the google machine. Most of the old fridge enthusiasts are saying the 50's fridges were more efficient than the 60's and 70's ones with defrost. Then after that they became more and more energy efficient. Energy compliance became a big deal in the late 90's and has gotten somewhat stricter every year. Some really interesting reading about these old fridges out there. Im still gonna get one lol.
I know, I’m a motorcycle / tractor / equipment guy. Got one fridge that just neede some paint. 6 months later I’m quoting amp draw for a 1950 fridge.... now I’m the appliance nerd on a cub site.....
