The overhaul kits provide piston, wrist pin, rings, rod, valves and gasket set for about $110. I'd rebuild the 14 hp stock. Use the cam out of the 10 if you need it or find another. You might want to repair the 10hp later.

Ya That’s the dirt I’m heading now that I figured out how to get PTOs off they have a kit online for about 240$ that has everything including plug coil points valves seats bearings. I’m going to a local machine shop tomorrow after I get the cams out. They are gonna check crank to make sure it’s usable and grind it for 50$ they are gonna check block bore for me as well just need me to bring the specs. I hope crank is good and in spec.

Have them tank the block and check for cracks as well.

I'd get them to bore the cylinder and then put in oversize piston/rings. I get my kits off ebay, seller is batk4kids

You can add bearings if you want. This is where I've been getting my kits.

Well traded off the 149 frame for a 128 with most of the 3point parts and a very good dashtower and frame has all the parts I was looking for with just a few things still needed. I got 2 more decks as well and 2 rear wheels for duallys. I sent the 14 off to the shop to be bored and crank ground. I lined up another rider that's not a Cub from the machime shop it's a little Swisher ride king very cool. I have to wait till the machine shop cleans everything up and gets crank ground before I get the rebuild kit. They are gonna clean everything for me and are gonna have me bring the cam in and other gears and they'll clean them for me as well great service great people. I'll get pics up asap.

Thanks guys I ordered the front tires today and a Walker stack muffler and flapper. My son and I stripped the 126 down today. The dash tower was a little different but I'll be able to make it work with my 104 dash. I'll still have to locate a PTO rebuild kit among other things. I still have a lot of work to do to make everything happen. I've not rebuilt an engine like this but definitely gonna have fun doing it. I will be using the 126s frame as it's in way better shape and it has disc brakes vs the wet brake. I'll definitely have a lot of questions for you guys.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
