While mowing sometime the speed will greatly reduce. Specially in a tight turn, or starting up hill. I will have to adjust the hydro lever to go back to the previous speed. Any one have any ideas what the problem may be.
Tthank you for your time.

Sounds like when you have a Hydrostatic Load, the issue arises. Check the fluid level first.

When you turn the steering wheel, you take some of the hydro volume away from the pump. This can cause a momentary lag but wouldn't require you to move the speed control lever. If the fluid level is okay, look to see if you can tell if the hydro filter has been changed in the last many years. |

Level shows full. Changed the filter and fluid when I had the engine out and the deck off.

How is the hydro lever? I have seen them become loose where it connects to the cross arm. It may have to be fixed.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
