Default 190-304 rear tiller

So apparently the 190-304 rear tiller is available for the 2000 series tractors, but I can’t find anything about it online other than parts diagrams. No actual pictures of it or how it mounts/works with the tractor. Does anyone know anything about it or have pictures of how it mounts and gets power, as these tractors only have front PTO, not rear?

One of our members Justin Soluna has a group on FB that has the manual in the files section.

2000 Series Cub Cadet Tractors.

304 Tiller - 2000 Series.pdf

For some reason I can't post the link to his group page. I'll try to PM it to you.

OK well the PM didn't work. I'm guessing that suggesting other groups is forbidden
But pics still work.

I’m mainly just wanting to see how the thing works and gets power from the tractor since the PTO is in the front on this model. I can’t seem to find any pics or anything with it actually attached to the tractor. Maybe the manual will have something, I’ll PM you.

Sent the manual to your e-mail

It uses a LONG and probably expensive belt from the front PTO.

Thanks for sending that. That is wild! I’m guessing the belt rides underneath the rear axle as there is no way it could go over it! I guess if there’s a will, there’s a way lol

Holy ravioli $150 for the official MTD/CC belt ?. Generic one isn’t too bad on Amazon tho, like $25.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
