You may have bigger problems than that. It started leaking for a reason. I just repaired a 2082 with the same leak and the 4 bolts that holds the rear to the frame were loose. The threaded holes in mine were ok so yours might be too.

If the fitting is tight and you have enough line, just re flair the line utilizing the nut and bushing, prolly the line is cracked at the flair.
If you don't have enough line to re flair, just make a new line utilizing the old fittings. 3/8 brake/fuel line works well. Those are Parker style 37° hyd fittings, available from the Parker store, or online.

You will probably need to have a new line flared and bent if that is the issue.
How are you going to re-flare that with the nut in the way?
And new OEM replacement lines are more than likely long ago NLA.

The bolts go into the holes circled. They attach the rear to the frame. They get loose and destroy the holes in the rear. If yours is like my 2082, the tube broke before that happened. Mine was leaking in the same spot as yours.

I had bought some parts from a member here and had a spare in the parts lot.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
