Default what pto belt fits my deck

I'm a new owner of a 106 (with a newish 12 hp after-maket kohler hence 1026). The mowing deck manual shows a 122 cub with 38,42 and 48" deck info. My deck looks like those types but seems to measure about 42-44" (across the blades)
Someone hand-wrote 421u1113 on the manual.
My broken belt measures 72"x3/8" so I ordered a belt from MTD that matches those specs. Does anyone know what deck I have based on the number 421u1113?

Default contact this member jkier he posted this:

found this on the site, you can also put your number in the google search engine and find other results.I looked and saw it listed as a 42" and a 48".....maybe some more knowledgeable people can shed light on that, maybe it has a suffix after the number depicting the cut size.

Right now it kinda sounds like I'm mowing a cat :biggrin2.gif:

I pulled the first assembly off Wednesday an soaked it for a day.
Last night I disassembled it and noticed an extra piece not shown on the diagrams I have. I'm assuming its needed but would like to make sure its a factory part.

Hopefully I get a chance this weekend to tear into another assembly and see if that part is inside as well. Just figured I ask here too.

Your deck is a 42". We have the same deck on one of our 128's.

I always thought the first two numbers on the ID tag represented the cutting width, is this not correct?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
