You have been busy, are you hooking up the safety switch for the clutch pedal?

I installed new engine mount bushings and steering box gasket today. My clutch driver showed up and I got the driveshaft cut and drilled. Borrowed the 2072s seat and went for a test drive.

Yesterday I took the steering knuckles off and beat the bushings out of the axle as they would not take grease. Cleaned everything up and now it steers great. I still need to replace all the rod ends. Might go with the heim joints.

Today I put the front tins from the super on since I need to do some paint on the ones I got with the 1050. Hell, these need paint too, at least they are white. Then I put it to work after mowing the lawns with the 1864. It was a great birthday with perfect weather!

Happy birthday Mr. S. I don’t see you on the calendar? Our birthdays are close, 1050 took shape pretty quick. Wish now I didn’t sell my cast rear a little while ago with internal brakes. Cool project I’ve been following it closely.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
