Default The TAX Man Will Feed My Family, This Year!

Every year, I try to add some sort of compost to the garden,,
so, my my wife mentioned she had tax documents to get rid of,,,
She mentioned firing up a burn barrel, or find a shredding facility,, I figured the worms would love the paper,,

Newspapers have been a favorite worm food in past years,, I figured the worms would LOVE my tax records.

I opened a furrow with my rotary plow, I guess any plow that turns over a furrow would work;

Then I laid the documents in the furrow about one inch thick;

Next, I used the plow to cover the documents;

I sprinkled some high nitrogen fertilizer on the documents to promote decomposition;

I needed 3 furrows to get rid of all the records,, here it is after the last furrow was plowed;

Over the next 36 hours we are supposed to get 2 inches of rain,, that should soak the paper well,,

Maybe I will plant corn and use the tax man's records to grow what I need to make untaxed moonshine!!
LOL!

That's a good idea. Make sure you post your results.

Paper/cardboard is also good to keep the weeds away. Just put it between your plants, and keep it wet so it doesn't blow away.

Newspapers have more BS in them, that's why the worms like them so much.

Did you put the papers in chronologically just in case you need to dig up a certain year?

I have been doing paper addition to the garden for over a decade,,
there is never anything at all left the following season.
I expect the same results with this,, the worms will love dining on important documents!!

All of these documents predate 2010,, hopefully the records will not be needed,,,

I purposely randomly put the documents in the trench,, to confuse tax auditors, if they show up tomorrow,,

Actually, we still have the records, on digital storage,,

I was amazed how far back we had the digital records,, if the CD's and jump drives are readable,,
Some of it is stored in cloud storage,,, I think,,,

My neighbor has done that for several years as well, he uses bagged shredded paper from the office at work and can get all he wants for free.

Recently, when he digs his potatoes in the fall, they already have baking and storage instructions imprinted!

Good recycling!! You can also weld a rod onto a bent up old circular saw blade. Put your papers down into a 5 gallon bucket, add enough water to cover them. Then chuck the rod into a power drill and shred up a lot of papers real fast. Cut a piece of wood in a circle to fit into the bucket, drill some holes in the side of the bucket and then press the wood down into the bucket to squeeze as much water out as possible. Turn the bucket over and allow the shredded paper to air dry or sun dry. It won't start a fire, but if added to one, then it will burn for a long time. So you could use your old tax docs, junk mail, or whatever to help heat your home if you have a wood stove.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
