Thanks Bamafan! I will be sure to do that. I've got to clean out my grandpas shed. Hopefully I'll have it out of the weather by the end of the week.

Thanks! As I've been looking through this site I've been getting excited to start. It's going to be a slow process because I work a lot and money is a little tight. I'll make sure and post my progress and will definitely ask questions along the way!

1650
Looks like you got yourself a good candidate for a nice refreshing. Lokks like it has the rear lift parts there. Also looks to have what is called a twin stick on the hydraulic lift. ( front hydraulic outlets). These are handy if you get yourself a snow plow out front with the hydraulic angle.

Side Panels
Can anyone tell me if the 1650 came with side panels? I've seen pictures with and without them. The parts book doesn't show them.

All of the tractors in that series came with side panels, except the 1100s.

My 1650 has them. I've read that they help with directing airflow, which helps cooling.

The 1100 was a budget model with a different rear end and cheaper Briggs engine that didn’t have them but the rest did.

Double sticks
I have the double hydraulic levers on my 1650 but they are seized together. What are some tricks to get them unstuck? I haven't been able to find all the parts to replace them. I'm hoping I don't have to cut them to get them out of the dash tower. Any advice would be appreciated!!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
