Thanks! There is quite a good bit of work ahead. No lock out hubs, so that's another avenue involved with the 4wd system. Got new floor pans and cab mounts coming. The floor is rusted under and around the gas and brake peddle. I'm thinking some of this is due to the bad windshield seal. Has a nice custom set of welded saddle tanks, and I'm still looking for the cab tank. Set up for distance, apparently. Heck, at 48 I'd say it's still going far!
I'll be sure to post more as I progress. Wife wants it professionally painted same color when its done, so that's cool with me !

Pulled out the truck today, to see how I'm coming on the cab mounts. I got the rear mounts done, but still might go a little higher on the passenger side. Front mounts need done. Almost have the floor ready to start new floor pan install.
Looking forward to having my 1450 in the back headed to a show!

thanks twoton! gonna be a while before she's on the road. I'm learning to read the wire schematic so I'll be able to do some re-wiring work too. But it does run and drive, just issues to be worked out.

I'll feel better once the inside is done, and I get the hood shimmed.

That thing is nice you never see the old Dodge trucks around here. That truck is from the times back when trucks were real trucks.

In your 1st post in the thread you said something about biting off more than you can chew... I'll come solve that issue and take it off your hands.... Actually been looking for one not quite that old, only because trucks like you found, tend to be hard to find any more. But even an 80s version, which were a dime a dozen not long ago, guys are now wanting a mint for... I have had several and except for my red 88 short bed, I'd love to have every one of them back.
I hate the new versions of all the pick ups because they are priced ridiculously, rot out faster than trucks of the 60s and 70s did/ besides not being able to find anything with less than 4 doors, and the beds are uselessly short. Today's trucks are so out of proportion that it's almost cartoonish. just try to find a modern truck with a conventional cab and a real 8' bed.

that truck that you have is made of real steel, not plastic and tin cans, besides. Id love to find one like it

I have a 440 sitting in the garage I'd love to find a solid worthy body to drop into. It's my son's but somehow I think that he forgot about it. I need to claim it for storage consideration. It's a bit too big for my Dakotas.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
