Looks awesome! 6/7 styling is some of the best.

I'm in this camp as well. Maybe because my first CC was a 108, and I've had it for 40 years. And it's still killing grass every week.

Nice 108 sawdustdad is that original condition or has it been gone over before I like seeing them still running and working like they should.

It's a 1972 model. I bought it used in 1979 from an IH dealer for $1500. A lot of money for a couple of newlyweds. For most of it's life, it had only routine maintenance--tires, belts, PTO buttons, lights. When the engine finally gave out in 2013, I repainted it and did a pretty complete restoration. That picture was taken in 2018, five years after the restoration. It's on it's third set of tires. It cut about 1.5 acres every other week for most of it's life.

I think we could agree that the 128/129's red stripe looks better than the 149/169 blue stripe, right? By the way, my 126's grill still isn't plastic.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
