Thanks, Slim! Still an on-going thread, and taking my time with it. Still need to complete the dual rag joint upgrade, and detail paint the K321AQS. Might get a plow for it some day.

I bought the same front bumper/weight bracket from Xtreme for my 1650 and it doesn't have the 4 holes and 2 notches in the side brackets right behind the bumper. The bumper they show on their site lacks them too. Any idea what they are for?

The two holes up front are for a locking bar to keep the weights from bouncing off. The front of the two rear holes are for bolting it to the frame for support. The spread frame tractors had holes in the frame there.

Doesn't look like it comes with the locking bar anyway.

Yea, I know I have not produced. But, still this 1450 is still my favorite one in the fleet! I want to take my time on painting the engine, and do a nice job with that. Finish the custom propeller shaft with dual flex joints at each end, and paint. I'm not painting the tractor, but recently thought about getting a new, big tent to use as a paint booth with ventilation.
My brother now has the cub bug, and the shop to set up a great place for painting. Just to get some use out of my new Firestones, I swapped them over to my model 72 ( graced the cover of CC Magazine Winter edition ) . I don't mind at all having the larger turf tires back on the 1450. I would have to say, that my 1450 in going the plow set-up direction, which I would love to attend one day. I do need to pick up a little here, thank you for asking about it! Cub Cadets are for keeps!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
