Default My New (old) Parker Sweeper

I got this sweeper from the family of a friend who owned it for years. Like everything else he owned, he took nice care of it and it's in really nice condition for the age.

I don't know much at all about this piece, and I can't find much about them online. I'd really like to know how old this sweeper is and at least some basic information about it. I know Parker made some sweepers for Cub Cadet way back, and am really hoping that we have a resident Parker expert on here.

There's are PART NO numbers on both sides by the wheels, 78-339FLH and 76-338FRH. Those don't match, and they end in FRH and FLH, which correspond with their Front Right Hand and Front Left Hand locations on the sweeper. I looked it over pretty well and haven't found a serial yet. I'm not sure where to look either.

I took pictures yesterday to show it off and hopefully get some more information on this really neat piece that should look and work great behind my new 126.

It looks like the front is assembled incorrectly according to this parts manual.

It's not put together wrong, I'm just a doofus that forgot to take pictures after flipping the front back where it's supposed to be. It's not as blue as it once was, but the metal is still great. If I could get repro decals it would be a short paintjob away from new again.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
