Default Engine starts, running poorly after 30 minutes

I have a Cub Cadet 1250 with a recently rebuilt Kohler 301 engine. The engine runs fine for about 30-35 minutes, then starts running poorly with such a loss in power that I just have to shut it down in the middle of mowing our yard. After about 45 minutes of a cool down I start it back up and finish the yard. I have replaced the ignition coil thinking it was getting hot and then causing spark issues, but the problem still exists. (I have also replaced the spark plug as well.) I do not think it is a fuel problem since this scenario has repeated itself several times: run great for 30 minutes, then runs terribly. Any ideas about what to try next?

Wouldn't rule out the fuel supply issue. All it takes is a piece of crud getting
sucked up in your fuel inlet to shut you down. When everything settles down
after it sits for a while it fires up and off you go. Till it gets sucked up
again. Eliminate all chances of a junk in your fuel tank which takes time
and not much for money, ( maybe some new fuel line) and that variable
is no longer there. Worth the effort every time.

I have replaced the ignition coil
Would this be the correct Kohler Coil or an aftermarket one ??

Fuel vacuum could be the problem , make sure the tank is venting

Some good ideas and I'd like to add..... too hot! Look under the tins between the fins for things blocking the winds.

On one of mine I had to run an appropriate sized drill bit using my fingers to get the crud out of the inside
did not need to replace mine

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
