GTX2154 electric power steering issues
Just started acting up the other day.
Intermittent operation, on again off again. What's the best approach to troubleshoot this issue? Anyone have experience with one of these units? Unit is a 2011 model w/355 hrs. on the clock. I'm just too old school for this new fangled stuff!! |

I am far from an electrical expert but start with making sure it is grounded to a clean surface.
Check for continuity on the power wires. You may have to "twist and bend" them to discover a break in the wire. Sorry, that's all I got |

Thanks Jeff.
I think I have it narrowed down a bit. Seems like my rectifier is not recting!! (is that a word??) Battery gets down to the point it will not have enough juice to run the P/S. After spending all night on the trickle charger, it works fine but the battery voltage keeps dropping with use to the point it gets waaay down on volts. Going to try swapping a known good one into the machine to see what all happens Battery is not getting full charging voltage when at WOT. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
