SUCCESS!! I made my own "headlight harness" I saw that the available aftermarket ones used white and yellow as the color codes. So that's what I did too...

Used as suggested a 15 Amp fuse... And amazingly the headlights come on using the switch and I didn't know this, but you can turn on the headlights without the motor running? Just like my car...LOL

Thanks for the help with this part of my Cub, not that I will even use the headlights... But Im that guy that feels like if its there or available it should work...

Now Im going to start cleaning it up a little... And start planning the "Front Loader Project"

Thanks again for the help...

PS: The switch on my Cub is a "Pull On/Push Off" type switch, is that factory? I thought they were "Turn to on" from the factory. Not that it matters, I am however missing the knob for my switch, so I will need to figure out the size and thread to get that done too...

From what I have seen the factory equipped switch is a 2 position rotary switch. Nice work on the lights, it is a good feeling knowing everything on a cub works as it should.

Great job on a DIY project. I knew that you could do it!

The use of headlights depends on how you use your cub cadet. Whenever I am plowing or throwing snow, it gets dark in the winter around 5 or 5:30 in my geographic location, so the headlights (and tail lights) help for me to be seen by traffic if I am along the curb or turning around in part of the street or traveling to my neighbors sidewalk to help them out, so it is a MUST for safety that I leave them on. It is always better to have them, than to NOT have them.

Here is the correct switch for your cub cadet for your review. You could purchase this one or place an ad in the Trading Post of this forum in the Wanted section and see what comes up!

Now, paint a face on your cub and use it to drive your kids around at Halloween!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
