I'm Artie--I moved a year ago and my "organized collection of equipment manuals" has not reappeared. I have a great Cub Cadet 1650 that has done well for us. I would like to obtain an "operator's manual" and a "service manual". In searching for online sources of manuals, it appears that download sites are potential virus sources.
Can anyone suggest a good source of manuals? Stay healthy, Artie |

I thank you for shedding some light on the manuals, etc. I have had a few issues with the Cub, but I have been able to receive appropriate parts. It is still very strong and usable.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Artie43 |

Happy T day to you
also welcome to OCC. Don't be a one and done, pop in occasionally and ask questions or comment, we are a pretty diverse group that has prolly experienced all problems with cubs ( and some that have not happened yet but will) ![]() oh, your box of "books" is in a safe place, so safe even you can't find them! But I guarantee when you expect it the least and absolutely don't need them they will appear. And as one ages, they find safer and safer places to hide. ![]() |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
