Well, we didn't expect this. Busted steering box. We will be looking for a good replacement. Looks like PO tried to cobble it once. Almost glad we hit this speed bump. Shows my son no matter what. Plan for the unexpected.

It happens, a nice 3 turn off a 1211 will do wonders for the ease of steering.
They are the same length as the broken one.

Thanks guys. That what we will do then. So my son wouldn't let me drive the shaft pin out. He insisted he do that and the axle pin. I let him use a little heat and he got them out

Thanks, As long as his homework gets done I agreed to at least an hour a night. He would love to do everything all in one night but I have to keep slowing him down a little. He was nervous when he saw the steering box. He thought maybe it would be hard to get a new one.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
