Diesel 1872
I’ve a 1872 that I’m converting to a diesel cyclops. Picked up a kubota d722 and found some motor mounts on eBay. Decided to convert it to a Cyclopes because radiator would mount easier.

I thought the D722 was too long to fit and get the hoods on, or the PTO be in the right spot or something. It's a bit longer than the D640.
Maybe it just won't fit in the '82 styled tractors. Definitely interested to see if you get it all to fit..... |

It all fits. The d600, d640 and d722 are all the same dimensions. The only modification was radiator bracket. The radiator the I’ve good is taller than the ones that came in the cub cadets and the pins on bottom are in different locations

You sure about that? I thought the 722 was about 1.5" longer overall. Not that that is a lot, but enough to mess up the front PTO angle.....

I'd be interested in seeing factory dimension specs for the D722 vs the D640. I believe Jon may be right. I thought it was longer as well.
Regardless, this will be an interesting build. Please keep us posted.

Flywheel is about an inch thicker, I just used a flywheel off of a d600. Motor was a direct drop in and with the pto the belt lines up perfect and works and mows great.
