Cub Cadet 129
This was 1 mile from my house, it ran when parked....
At least there is no gas in the tank. It came with a 42" deck, and I have the grill and the other tire. 409800 off the line, so it has the crappy wiring left over from the 7x 1x6 1x7 series. Funky muffler isn't it?

Funky muffler...maybe...but it looks like it was made well. I like the two different front wheels. What are your plans for this one?

Looks decent in the pics Lew. How's the seat? Has a shadow on it, but I don't see any rips/tears.....
I like the muffler. What is it? Doesn't look like an IH or a Nelson.... |

Nice machine! And within walking distance too!
What's wrong with the muffler? Looks like the one I have on all my tractors... |

Muffler has a bigger outlet, welded end cap instead of crimped, and looks to be much heavier guage steel.

I have yet checked out the muffler for any markings, looks like a Nelson though.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
