Nice to see people speak so highly of Canada! Yes, we do have great beer here too.

Ontario Cub guy. Bit by the bug about 3 years ago now. The garage is starting to fill up with Cub stuff...... sure hope the wife doesn't get the idea of putting her car in it ANYTIME soon!

Default used to be from Alberta

My farming days were in Alberta, and I miss that era of my life. i like B.C. too, because i love mountain climbing and awesome views. I see there are quite a few Canadians on here. I'd like to get one of these machines to use in my lawncare business, as I'm getting pretty ricketty with arthritis, even though I'm only 58. I f i find the money to do this, I'd go the extra mile and get a plow and go to the grasshopper days in Sibbald.

It is suposed to run good. good looking tires.tin work is good. He said it worked good rototilling the garden .I am also looking for a 149, and 169 . frontend loader and plows and cultivator.

Thanks, Ray. That's cheap for a 1450 that's running and in decent shape. I want 14/1650 just for my QA42A snowthrower. This way I don't have to keep taking it off the 1250 for the summer to cut grass. Plus I love that series of Cubs and it gives me an excuse to get another one. I like the 149/169 series also...I like the 82 series as well as the 1872/2072 Cubs. I'd also love to get a diesel Cub. Man if I only had more money....

I'm east of calgary, east of hanna, east of youngstown, oyen, sibbald, right on the border there.

I have some parts as well as original tires, but you have to come to the plowday!

Default Plowday

(I accidentally lost my post by hitting "tab" instead of caplock! darn it!!)

Now I need to remember what I wrote!. Hmmmm I really want to come to fellowship , be a farm boy again, smell dirt and dig in it, etc. etc. I want to come with my IHC truck and load the tractor on top. Even if I can't use the garden stuff, I'd have lots of fun. I do need to come a day early. Is the date cast in stone yet?

Maybe I shouldn't be writing this material on this thread? -I got chastised for using the wrong heading before, and they moved my thread. I want to respect OCC. Manny.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
