Heres two pics of the 1650, just dropped oil . Will be pulling engine to check iso mounts and weld the stiffener bar in . Have better engine tins coming. Do hydro maint. 1 in spindles and rims to put on, any sheetmetal that is damaged will be replaced with good parts. Get up and running good for this years lawn tasks. Start restoring the 125, then the 1650 will get its turn at a full resto job to as new condition.

Dont know what I will do with the 450 sno blower attachment , have an older Ariens 824 that does the chore now. Its really all about storing the stuff, you do not want it all left outside.
Will keep you guys updated as I go, thanks for your help !

Will call about the CI pan, need a really good steering wheel too ( long center arm)

Thanks again for the replies fellas, great little community here. I was enamored with the CC by my Grandfather who bought a 125 new in '68 with a ton of attachments. Remember always wanting a ride with him when we visited.

Well, had some more time today on the exhaust elbow, they are pipe threads, used a 1 1/4 pipe thread tap to clean out a little better, then a good wire wheel on one of my slow air tools , to get better at the back. The new Kohler elbow is still the same. Only 1 and a quarter turns go on, did not force it. Bought a 1 1/4 pipe thread reducer plug with a good hex on it to turn it in . Went about 3/4 the way in with out too much grunt, so Im going to make the call that the threads are straight on the elbow, confirming with a caliper the threads touch the measuring edges the whole way as opposed to a pipe thread which as you know is tapered. Will talk to CCS and see if he has any tapered ones to replace this.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
