Default 2072 Power Steering
I am going to tackle a Power Steering problem on the 2072. I have never done a job like this. The Ross Gear HGF series of unit, has a #SK000097 Seal Kit. In doing some research, there is a Company called Midwest Steering in Independence, MO, that is suppose to be a Ross (Parker/TRW) authorized Servicer/Supplier. In doing an internet search, I see the price of this kit greatly varies. I have seen an attractive price on Amazon, but I don't know if it is a genuine kit, or a Chinese knockoff.

Looking for guidance, suggestions, input, or recommendations, on this kit.

UPDATE: @ 10:20am
Contacted the Amazon Seller and he states, it is a "premium aftermarket" kit.

My advice is to make life easier on yourself, remove the power steering unit and take it to a shop that rebuilds hydraulic cylinders. It will be done right the first time and it will not be terribly expensive or difficult for the rebuild shop

I did my 1772 10 years ago and it has been trouble free.

These are pretty easy to do if done properly. Make the holding jig that is in the manual. Steiner/Ventrac use the same steering box and their parts are cheaper.

These kits are the same from what I hear.
Deere -- AM107078
Parker -- SK000097
Steiner -- 21-SK000011

The steering "wanders" and one has to make 1-1.5 turns to correct it. No leaks and turns eventually.

That sounds like the cylinder is leaking internally. Have you checked that yet?

No, I haven't. I just assumed it was in the Ross Gear Power unit.

replace the cylinder , i had the same problem a few years ago on a 1882 and the cylinder fixed it.
