Default 50" mower skid shoes? on a 149

I just bought a 149 with a 50" mower. The mower is in good shape, but some one welded some scabby shoes on it. I cannot find any sources for these shoes. Anyone have a source?

Since the 50" series of mower decks go back to the Mid 70's to early 80's, those skid shoes are NLA from Cub Cadet. As far as I know, your only option is to custom fabricate some, and tac them onto your deck.

I've made various skids from old pee-cup spring leaves.
Cheep and easily made.

A pea-cup is what you drive the store or to work or to go get klub kidett parts (pickemup truck)
and they have leaf springs as opposed to coil springs supporting the chassis
in the rear.
(Although some old chebbies in the 60's-70's had coils.)
A salvage yard usually has a selection scattered about.
(My attempt at humor sometimes leaves a little lacking not being in the flesh.)
Now if you live in Michigan,
most every paved road this time of the year has plenty of leaf springs, hub caps, shock absorbers broken rims, and various vehicle parts that have fallen off , scattered around the pot holes in our #$%^&* roads.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
