Very nice 1650!
Beth's been wheeling and dealing this summer! She must be busy working on Cubs, too because she's been quiet on here lately.

I heard she won the lottery, bought a trucking company to haul her toys and lived happily ever after.

Thanks Lew! Yeah I'm on the lookout again for some specific Cubs and the 1650 DS was one of them.

Default 1650 Update

A little update on the 1650 dual stick since I brought it home. Several things have been done on this tractor but some of the more important items are the trunnion repair and new cork gasket. Also new hytran and filter. I picked up a power angle blade. Cylinder had a leak so that was rebuilt and new hoses as well. I added a set of wheel weights and chains and plan to use it as my snow removal rig.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
