I pulled a metric tapeline out of my toolbox at work the other day. Guy asked how old it was. Told him I bought it in '91--he replied he was only 1 at the time.

when you watched the original moon landing ..... the Nations bicentennial , I remember when they started teaching us the metric system.
when your buddys who you used to listen to hair bands and played there music in a band and had long hair now joke about they are no or loosing their hair band ... (and the one who had the longest hair was sporting a nero when he was 40 and now is mr clean ) you know what a 45 is and its not a gun ... or what 33 and a 1/3 meant ... or better yet liner notes .. Vinyl wasn't something David Bowie wore but some thing we played .. Radio tubes and the tv or radio taking a minute to warm up . and the tube machines at the drug or hardware store.. , music was played on AM , and Fm was city radio .. stereo meant you had 2 transistor radios one for each ear . know Monophonic is not a disease .. Lear jet made tape players not planes .. ( 8 track tape players )

My wife makes me feel old sometimes. She's not much younger than me really..... except when I talk about high school and college.... she was still in JR high when I was in college. Matter fact, I graduated college in the spring, and she started high school in the fall of the same year. That REALLY makes me feel old. Our kids are the same age, but her kids tell her she married an old grandpa.... and I'm not even 40 yet.

I get asked if my youngest is my grandchild. One day that will hit me wrong and I will remove somebody's teeth.

I've been asked before if she was my daughter..... Ouch.
I thought a lady at the front desk at a hotel was going to report us once. We asked for a room and she wanted to know if we wanted a room with two beds, or she had one with a king size. We of coarse took the room with the king. She gave me a really dirty look and stared us all the way down the hall. In my defense, it's not that I look so old, it's that she looks so young! |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
