That will save the ol shoulder from wearing out.
Is there a way to put a pressure switch on to shut it off when it is done?
just asking...

The other end of the arm where I engaged the saw has a shutoff for the mechanism but the end is broken off.

About a month ago I picked up a nice original 15" Walker Turner drill press. With the help of the folks over at OWWM.org , they figured out it was made in 1935.

I just got a correct vintage motor for it and ran it last night for the first time.

I still have to replace the original cord and possibly the on/off switch as it has to be in a specific position to work. It runs pretty quietly and I'm pretty happy with it.

Nice score! I like the handwheel. Almost nautical themed.

The ships wheel is pretty rare. It does work great. Makes it much easier to get perfect hand position.

Jeff your tools are so cool and to get things back in shape of that vintage and in good working order is the bomb. Guess I need to start looking a bit harder...my fiancé bought me a Handler 190 for xmas (Im not supposed to know that) but hahahaha. Now I can't wait till warm weather again, my shop will be in full construction mode. I will be having cabin fever all winter!

Very nice welder Steve. I don't know how experienced you are but I suggest ( if it's new to you ) either taking a Vo Tech class to learn to weld or have an experienced MIG welder show you the correct way to set it up and what to listen for.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
