I've seen a 126 and a 127 for sale recently, but it's just not the right time currently. Coming up on winter, so best save up some extra cash for spring and I can go buy another one then!
I'm doing the same thing with that series all I'm missing is the 126. I'm still looking. Good looking pair

They do look good!
One of my Deere's has a blower, but it's no fun at all. Darn thing's variable speed can't work right, Gives ya 3 speed ranges instead of the 7 it's supposed to. One of those ranges is "not moving at all", then there's "slow", and lastly "meh". I had to add a helper spring to one of the belt tensioners, made it better but still the same 3 speeds. And one of the rear wheel spindles is worn bad, and the electrical system is butchered badly (push button start and a simple toggle switch for ignition) Not to mention that the blower drive belt is nearing its demise, and I don't have the piece that connects the blower to the lift lever. Don't get me started on how loud that blower is either. I'm scared to even try the mower deck. Heck, only good things on that machine are the Kohler K181 and Peerless transaxle, the 2 things NOT made by Deere!

Gosh, no wonder we all like Cubs so much, so many problems! Or maybe I just bought a bad machine... Sorry about my rant, it just felt good to let all my frustration with that machine out. Most of it is easily repairable, I'll get it done eventually. The only thing I'm clueless about, and the one thing I don't like, is the Variable speed system. I don't see any way to adjust it or anything to make it work properly, unless my drive belts are stretched. In that case, if I ever find replacements I gotta tear apart the whole thing, because in order to replace them the whole moving pulley assembly has to come out. Definitely not a simple task. No wonder I don't get frustrated with my Cubs, even with a permanent tunnel cover nothing is that hard to do. Heck, I can have the hydro off the 107 in like 30 minutes and depending on the task get it back on and ready to go within the next hour.

Oh well, this site isn't about JD, it's about Cubs, and I like it that way

I do very badly want a blade for the 106. Only issue is, they aren't very plentiful around here. There was a blower for sale a while back but it was set for a wide frame. I'll get one eventually, maybe next year

Edit: I went and read the repair manual for my JD and may have figured out that the reason it's variator won't work right is that the center portion of the 2 pulleys is stuck, and doesn't move side to side like it's supposed to. I will check that out tomorrow. Anyway, no more Deeres!! This is a Cub Website, why am I taking it off topic?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
