Default Winch Lift

This is my recent mod for my 147. One of the struggles I've had bringing this tractor back to working shape over the last few years has been the electric lift. The original one was lost after it broke and when I took over the tractor I purchased one out of a local Cub boneyard. It worked but I replaced the load bearing and the brake and motor were good so I put it in service. Not long after the shaft bushing fell out of the bottom and it tore up the spiroid gear. Well I found debated for a year or two what to do, fix it or sell it and go another route. I thought about custom hydraulics and did not want a strong arm lift. Ultimately I was inspired by Sam Mac's 71/121 with the winch on the back. So after some on the fly engineering and my fathers welding/fab skills I now have a rear mounted winch that will rotate the rock shaft so that it will lift the deck and the plow up front. Obviously I wanted a rear lift but with the winch I had to get creative. I decided on the Impact Implements one point lift system. I did this because I'd like to share implements/attachments with an ATV or UTV and the lift will work for all three now. It's not finished yet as I have not setup the rear lift yet but for now it's ready to fight snow, assuming we ever get any. Please excuse the paint as we just threw whatever rattle can paint we had to protect the bare steel. Also the plow I picked up for $40 and converted the subframe from bolt on to QA, re-skinned the blade, new cutting edge, and the A frame was rebuilt from and impact that twisted at a 45 degree angle and collapsed. Well enough talk for now, here's the pics.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
