I'm still not having any luck getting that pin out. Some clown put two pins in it, one inside the other. I don't remember if I am that clown or not.

I will keep working on it carefully, but just curious how hard it would be to remove that stubby shaft from the tranny so I could work on it on the bench. I probably don't want to know the answer but figured its worth asking.

Ouch! That is a fairly common shop trick to strengthen and tighten a spring pin in a bore. If you have a tiny punch, you may be able drive the small pin out first, then the bigger one will be looser. Spray with penetrant first.

Just my self-deprecating sense of humor there. I probably was the clown, and if I was I wouldn't have done it without advice from some other clown, and by clown I just mean some nice and helpful person on the net. I'm not smart enough to think of something like that for myself.

Anyway the head gasket on my car just blew so I'm back to not being able to afford fixing this clutch for quite some time...
