Default Pop's

Hi gang many know me as Ben Corn but everybody calls me Pops. Name came from my fire dept. when the young guys came on they started calling me popcorn then just shorted it to Pops. My stepchildren picked up on it also. I like it, a form of respect I guess but truthfully it just makes me feel good.

Good story Mouse!

I have owned CC since 1972 my first Cub was a brand new 108, have had many since I think my favorite until the last couple years was a 782 red that did it all. My least fav. was a 1863. I now own a 1 owner 1000 that I completely restored mow with and pull in dirt running stock classes, 126 in pieces, 1650 (Gus) which I see about 2 wks a year to service than 1 or more of the kids keeps it busy, 3206, and my now favorite is my 7264 with loader and 6 ft. 3pt. finish mower. I built and the family pulls a 106 mostly dead weight pulls Bare Bones is his name and most of the time we finish 1st or 2nd. My daughter and I pull it in the 800 lb. or less weight class. (Light weight class).

Good to be here hopefully "big brother" (work) will not find this sight.

Pops

Thanks guys always great to share a friendship and a respect for such a great hobby and love for "old iron" especially our beloved Cubbies.

Thanks Bill I lost your e-mail address so I couldn't let you know "big brother" (work ) shut me out of the your forum and an old truck forum. Good to go for right now.

The seat worked great for my 106 that I got from you.

Pops

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
