Bagger Attachment
Hi All,
I recently got an old Cub Cadet 1440 Garden tractor. With fall approaching and tons of trees on my property, I'm looking to attach a bagger. I called cub cadet and they said the original product (190-313-100) is discontinued. I can't seem to find anything besides spare parts and diagrams online. Does anyone know where I would be able to find one, or if a more modern model would work? The previous owner used a tow behind Trac Vac which worked really well but that is more than I'm looking to spend. |

As far as finding a bagger. It's usually not hard to adapt another brand. If brand doesn't bother you find a used 3 bag setup used. You will need a High vac deck for bagger to work but not a powered tow behind.

Baggers come up for sale for the cyclops pretty often. Watch ebay, c-list, and the "For Sale" section on this site. He may have sold it, but Sam Mac had a cyclops bagger for sale on here not long ago.
Personally, I hate baggers. Plug off, fill up too fast, add to the size of the tractor, block off the rear hitch.... hate them. I use a sweeper. |

I don't care. I just have no use for it. Got it with an 1864 I picked up last year.

I have a Agri Fab sweeper that I thought was the cats a$$...then I picked up a 345 fan assisted bagger for my 3205. I never used the pos pull behind sweeper again. If you can find a fan assisted get it.....of course I used mine so much that now it needs rebuilt.

I see a few baggers pop up occasionally around here. I do know there's a craftsman chipper/mulcher/bagger combo here in PA. I wonder if you could find the discharge chute adpater to go on a 44c deck that's on a 1000.

I don’t think there is a chute adapter for a 44c deck. Have to go to a GT46 deck.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
