Beautiful Mr. Zippel. Sam said it best. Mine is roached compared to yours, thinking about redoing it but just don't have the time. Nice close ups, that is something to be proud of

Thank you, but I never set out to set any bars... Just wanted to do the best I could do. A lot of firsts for me on this build.

I'm very humbled Sam, and I'm glad it got your approval. But again, it's not a competition to see who's looks better than who's. It's all about the respect for the brand of tractors we crave, and to bring one back or leave them in their original condition, they are all beautiful to me one way or another...

Absolute Perfection!!

I'm gonna miss seeing your posts on this project!

Thanks again for your kind words Jay. It's not perfect by a long shot, but it sure makes me feel good that you guys recognize the work that was put into it.

Thanks, and I'm looking forward to following along on your build. I really enjoy watching someone bring one back to their glory day...

Thanks Mike, I am proud of it. Every time I see a picture of it on Only Cub Cadets, the best darn site on the interweb, I'm proud to be a member, and was allowed to ramble on about a tractor build for 15 months

Painted my mule drive cover this morning. Buddy of mine, (yeah I got a buddy) bent up a piece for me. Used the Binks air brush, worked out fine.

Thank you Allen. I know it's only a cover, but it turned out so nice and only had to paint it once.

Finishing up a few things. Mounted the mule drive cover, my idea with the extra holes is to mount a couple I bolts to use as tie downs.
Then went through an original style carb so I can get the oil bath air cleaner on. Carb started out in pretty rough condition but cleaned up nice...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
