I didn’t flush the old gas yet, it still smelled like gas in the tanks. I hooked up a battery to 123 #1 and turned the key, nothing but solenoid click. I touched the positive to the starter generator post and nothing. So looks like I have a bad starter generator on that one. The engine is free, I can turn it by hand and it has compression.
I hooked the battery up to #2 and turned the key and it cranks, also has compression. So #2 will get spark checked and carb cleaned if necessary and try to start it. Then I will swap the starter generator and see if #1 cranks and do the same.

I saw those but trying to thin out my fleet. I’d have been more inclined to get them had they had the original seats. Headlights and sleeve hitch is a good thing. Should be able to get one going in short order

The one that wouldn’t crank now cranks. I turned the engine over by hand a couple times and now the starter works. Maybe dirty brushes?
The other one floods gas out the carb too. Both have spark. So I think both probably will run with a little help.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
