Firestone 23* are awesome! I don't have a set in 10.5" wide set, I do have 8.5s and I've had 26x12x12s.

I don't know of any ags that are not great - meaning any of them provide much more traction versus the regular turf tires. When I purchase my next set price will be my determining factor. As other said 'stones are expensive.

Some of the best traction I've had are with a set of Duros I got from Tucker Tire 8-10 years ago. But as this one rear view pic shows I got really stuck once with them. But I was driving where I should have not been...

Have you considered ATV lugs? or are you stuck on the appearance of the AGs?
I prefer the ATV tires for overall traction around the yard, the softer rubber and lower air pressures have alot of traction on any terrian year round without being hard on the turf areas. I have a large yard(14acre) and a wide variety of chores... and a wide variety of tractors from 400 to 8000 lbs... AGs work well for the heavier tractors but on garden tractors the ATV tires perform better and offer a softer ride.. IMO

I have Carlisle Tru-Power 26X12X12's mounted on 10.5" wide rims on both of my Supers. I like them for what I do. They are also loaded. Never tried any others so can't compare. Pics are of my 2182.

I put the BKT trencher tires on my 100 and they are an excellent lug tire and have plenty of grip. But they are not a true 23" tire, they are considerably smaller than, say the true powers. But they are also much cheaper priced also.

Sam,

Just out of curiosity, but where did you get 10.5" wide rims to fit the Cub SGT? I know the stock wheels have a very extreme negative offset and I've never seen anything other than the stock 8.5" wide Cub Wheels that would work on our Super Garden Tractors. Were these custom made wheels or ones you widened yourself?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
