My 2 boys have decided to shift their attention toward our farming activities in the last year. Their pigs/chickens and other car related projects have consumed all their time and funds.. So... Looks like we will be listing our 4 cub tractors for sale. Here they are in order from stock to ... well...”hold on!” 1. New battery, Named “Dirty White Boy” Wheelie bars Pullin hitch Cool little tractor thats perfect starter for child and has many wins under its belt. Weighs 750 lbs to best of my memory, can check on that though. $700.00 2. Cub Cadet red tractor named “Rediculousness”. 20 HP Kohler engine with new pistons/rings. And battery. Cut tires on back with weight brackets front and rear. Wheelie bars and adjustable pulling hitch. All aluminum wheels. Very loud and pulls hard in 3rd gear. $800.00 3. Stock 122 cub cadet with i believe a 10 hp engine( havent looked at it in awhile) Wheelie bars Pullin hitch Ready to go. New battery $700 4. Blue cub cadet named “Bits-n-pieces” 3 cylinder yanmar engine with turbo nicely fitted to engine. Electric fan Cut tires Aluminum wheels Shifter lock Wheelie bars Pullin hitch Very fast and pulls very hard in 3rd gear, lots of black smoke. Very fun tractor to pull with. Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
