Thanks everyone. I wrote a whole thread with pics on the restoration, but i used photo bucket back then for image hosting. Well they changed for the worse and all the pictures erased and its too much work to back and re-link them.

You’ve got a nice collection there. How many cubs do you have?

Thank you IHCubCadet147 the collection consists of 30 Cubs and 10 or 12 other makes of garden tractors but about half of the Cubs are a work in progress and there are a couple that are basketcases that really are not worth fixing. I'm loving your 149 thread that thing is looking top notch.

2 more quietlines they both seem very original the 1450 outside operates very well all around. The 1250 in the shed is tired it smokes and needs the hydro adjusted it's pretty touchy.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
