Default Haban Sickle 402C

I have a chance to buy a Haban Sickle mower that was on a cub cadet 100. I only have WF tractors. I have no knowledge about these but would like to add this to the implement items. From the information I can find the 402C is for a NF.

I have read the only thing different from the 402 C,D and E is the front mount and can be Easy to modify if need be.

Tough decision to make on purchasing this. Hefty price, $550, and not sure how or if it can me installed without too much modification.

The owner is really nice person and if I can't use this I want to let him know ASAP. Any advise and info would be much appreciated.

550 isn’t out of line for that. I personally would snatch it up and wait for a decent narrow frame to come along for it before modifying it to fit a wide frame, that’s just me.

I certainly agree the price is a fair one, it just isn't a great deal we all look for in this hobby. I also agree about the modification. I don't like "making things work" if I can help it. While I have all WF models, I believe every cub cadet guy should own a 100. LOL. I am going to get this and hope to put it on a WF without making any permanent modification. Then start looking for a 70/100.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
